Writing Wonder
I write and Wonder appears. The simple act of taking pen in hand is all the invitation she needs. If I used the same pen every day I’d think that’s where she resides. Regardless of which pen I choose, and I do choose the color that matches my mood; whether it be the one with purple, pink, turquoise or black ink, there she is full of life, scooting hand and instrument across the page. And so it begins.
I wonder what will happen next. I wonder how I’ll fill the page. I wonder where all these words are coming from–these words that tumble, one after another out of my head and down through my pen.
Words have a way of showing me wonders I can’t see with my eyes until I see them on the page. Words born in Wonderland delight and invite me to more. The world-at-large is made ever more wonderful for the words that bring light to life.
