And now I write…
And now my chest contracts and I feel the tears well up in my heart and my breath comes from a deeper place.
And now I write.
Yes. My body says yes. Welcome back, it tells me.
And now I know that writing isn’t just writing, for me. Writing taps me into body and being. Writing moves me as I move the purple pen across the purple-lined page. Purple rivers of me spread over the lines–life blood oozing out; showing me its colors, its essence, its dazzling energy.
And now I know that writing is more than an idle pleasure. Writing comes from the ground floor and arises out of cells chock-full of expression waiting for this purple pen.
And now I write. I write to see, to say, to know, to play. The play of purpleness upon the page.
